Yoga & Postcards
Get on your mat, and then get out the vote!
Thursday, September 26th at noon (55 min class)
Class will be held in Old Town, Alexandria. Once you sign up, you will receive an email with the exact address of the studio.
We will practice together in a gentle yoga(ish) class - a small group of like-minded citizens, breathing and stretching and sharing our collective enthusiasm.
No experience necessary. Wear comfy clothes.
Please bring a yoga mat if you have one, and don’t forget your water bottle.
Then we will take that peaceful energy to communal tables (hopefully outside, weather permitting) to write postcards for democracy. If you are short on time, you can take your cards with you and complete at home. We won't know the specifics until a few days prior because we'll be assigned the most pressing need. We may be writing to encourage people to vote early, or to vote for down ballot races. We may be writing to the people of VA or maybe a swing state.
Clear instructions will be given. All supplies will be provided, but please feel free to bring your stickers and colorful pens - creative doodling is encouraged!
Your instructor is Kate Finamore, Engage Fitness Collective Director and Instructor.

Kate calls her style Yoga(ish).
She blends yoga with elements you might typically find in Pilates, dance, and/or fitness classes.
A combination of strength, stretch and balance synchronized with a playlist to empower you, allow you to breathe freely, and create space in your heart for whatever the future holds.
Class is typically done in bare feet, but grippy socks are OK, too.
